Dying Stars is a dark fantasy RPG Maker MZ vampire game about a dying race's struggle for survival.
A story-driven RPG inspired by "Vampires Dawn" and "Fire Emblem" with a different kind of vampire.
Vampires - a cursed race forced to drink the blood of humans in order to tame their inner beast. Hidden among the humans, hardly any of them are aware of their existence. They are the stars of their moon goddess, the guardians of nature.
But no new vampires have been born for years. The queen wants to start a new chapter by accepting bitten humans into their society. However, these “false” vampires are despised by those born, seen as inferior and disgusting.
The king therefore pursues a different plan to save the race - and he is prepared to pay any price for it.
Feran, a respected human lord, is saved from certain death by a bite and drawn into the deadly conflict between the vampires. As a bitten vampire, he becomes a symbol of the strife between the opposing groups. Feran must find his place in his new world as the battle for the fate of the vampires escalates.

Vampire – eine verfluchte Rasse, die gezwungen ist, das Blut der Menschen zu trinken, um ihr inneres Tier zu bändigen. Versteckt unter den Menschen, ahnt kaum einer von ihrer Existenz. Sie sind die Sterne ihrer Mondgöttin, die Wächter der Natur.
Doch seit Jahren werden keine neuen Vampire mehr geboren. Die Königin will ein neues Kapitel aufschlagen, indem sie gebissene Menschen in ihre Gesellschaft aufnehmen möchte. Aber diese "falschen" Vampire werden von den geborenen als minderwertig und abscheulich verachtet.
Der König verfolgt deswegen einen anderen Plan, um die Rasse zu retten – und er ist bereit, jeden Preis dafür zu zahlen.
Feran, ein angesehener menschlicher Lord, wird durch einen Biss vor dem sicheren Tod gerettet und in den tödlichen Konflikt der Vampire hineingezogen. Als gebissener Vampir wird er zum Symbol des Zwists zwischen den verfeindeten Gruppen. Feran muss seinen Platz in seiner neuen Welt finden, während der Kampf um das Schicksal der Vampire eskaliert.

Very promising so far. A lot of care has gone into the crafting of the maps and the artstyle manages to set itself off from the usual RPG Maker games.
The demo is a bit on the shoter side, but I like what I'm seeing in the story & characters. Vampires as more nature-focused is an interesting turn, though I wonder what you'll be able to do as a Vampire and what kind of tone the vampiric existence will take.
The combat gameplay is pretty short so far, but I think the idea to start with low and easily trackable health & damage numbers is a pretty good. It gives numbers more meaning and makes improvements and changes more trackable.
All in all I'm looking forward to see more.

The notification " enemy hp is not defined" at the start of the first combat after returning with the wine.
I had the same problem, but I played the game on Linux. My solution was to add the game to Steam and launch it with the Proton Experimental compatibility layer. This worked for me.
